The Pine Bluff store had a customer on a 2019 Ram 1500 who was 47 days past due. The collector asked Claude for a call script. The default response opened with “We understand that life can present challenges…” and ended with a polite request to “please contact us at your earliest convenience.”
The customer told the collector he was being “talked down to like a bank.” The account went to field collection. Two weeks later the regional manager in Little Rock pulled the escalation note and said, “This doesn’t sound like anything we would ever say in this building.”
